I have four dogs for sale this year, all with real racing experience and some capable of running in lead. I don’t ask a lot of money for my dogs, generally. E-mail me with any questions. Click on the thumbnail images of these guys to see a full-size photo, and you can find photos of their faces and descriptions of them here.
(Sold) Dublin
He is five and will be six next winter. Lots of racing experience from Kusko 300 to Iditarod, finishing both. He’s happy and friendly, demanding attention. On the plus side, Dublin will go long distances and has rarely been dropped for any reason. He’s a very good wheel dog. On the minus side, he can lose focus the farther up he is in the team. He occasionally has flashes of brilliance in lead, but just as often refuses to run up front. $300.
(SOLD) Rosebud
She’s finished the Iditarod with another musher, and been a sweet and warm addition to other race teams of mine. She’s four and will be five next winter. Sister of my best athlete, Solomon. But unlike Solomon, Rosebud doesn’t always have a lot on the tugline. For those interested in breeding and bloodlines, she has intriguing potential as a bred female, given the history of dogs related to her. $250.
(SOLD) Zephyr
A tiny little female with brown eyes that will melt your heart. She has an easy, fluid gait. Great disposition. One year old this winter, two next winter. Not an aggressive eater, however, and she’s the smallest dog in the kennel.
She ran Sheep mountain 150 and Tustumena 100 as a yearling, finishing. $100.
(SOLD) Tuuli
Small but not as tiny as her sister, Zephyr, Tuuli is a hard-driving girl and is beginning to get her reps in lead quite frequently. She should be a two year old leader next year. A bit bashful with strangers but affectionate with those she knows. Parents of Tuuli and Zephyr are Maverick (one of Jeff King’s A-team dogs) and Guinness, a dog of mine who ran Iditarod the past two years with King. $500.

Dan, thank you for asking. I sold all the dogs I’m going to sell this spring, unless there’s some radical change in plans.
